Travertine and Marble are very soft stones and should be maintained using PH neutral products as acid and alkaline will damage the stone and reduce the effectiveness of any sealers that have been used on the stone.

PREPARE: Diluted Fila Stone Cement Residue Remover 1:30 covers 50m2. Allow the solution to sit on the tile for 5 minutes and work residue off with a suitable pad or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Sometimes after using a residue remover, residues may be left behind; this may be due to the polymer within the grout. In these instances use Fila Multi Surface Stain Remover diluted 1:5 in the same way as the Fila Stone Cement Residue Remover.

PROTECT:Apply Natural Look Stainproof Sealer undiluted onto a clean, dry surface using a brush or microfiber application pad. Leave the product to penetrate the tile and grout surface. Remove any excess within 15 minutes by rubbing the surface with a clean, dry cloth. For very absorbent materials such as Limestone & unpolished stone, apply a second coat within 20minutes of the first, following the same directions. The treated surface should not appear shiny or have a film.

CLEAN: To prevent the build-up of deposits it is important that the correct cleaner is used, to maintain the tiles we suggest Fila Multi Surface Cleaner diluted 1:200. Using the correct cleaning product ensures the life span of the protection

ENHANCE: Unpolished travertine can be enhanced using Fila Colour Intensifier. After using Fila Stone Cement Residue Remover and when the travertine is dry, apply 2 coats of Fila Colour Intensifier.

PLEASE NOTE: Acidic or Alkaline cleaners are not recommended for use on travertine. Travertine does not require pre-sealing. Contrasting grouts can cause staining, so it is advised to test the grout on a small area before grouting commences.
