Which tiles would you recommend for use in hard water areas?

Share

Hard water contains a higher concentration of dissolved minerals in the water; for example, magnesium, calcium and potassium. When it evaporates from a surface, it leaves behind calcium and magnesium deposits commonly known as limescale. Those that live in hard water areas can experience the build-up of limescale much quicker than those in soft water areas. Most commonly, you’ll find hard water stains in the bathroom on glass, porcelain, tiles and metal surfaces. For advice on the best tiles to use in hard water areas and how to clean your tiles effectively, see our guide to limescale removal.
