We’re going to recreate some of our favourite Pinterest looks so you can transform your home with ease!
Pinterest Inspiration, Emerale Marble, Natural Hessian in Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen, Bathroom Furniture
Connecting your bathroom to nature is a failsafe way to ensure a relaxing and timeless feel to the space. Choosing natural materials like marble and wood will bring texture and depth, we particularly love a dramatic green marble, something a little different to the norm.
When using a darker tile like Emerale, the use of a darker wood like walnut will help keep the overall look warm, calm and more expensive looking than a lighter wood. Introduce a contrasting paint hue to keep the space feeling airy but ensure it stays within the warm toned spectrum. Natural Hessian by Dulux is the perfect neutral for this space, it is a soft balance of light and warmth.
Pinterest Inspiration, Walnut Mirror, Rock Salt in Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen
For a natural stone tile backsplash we like something that doesn’t necessarily scream natural stone but still ticks the box of a unique finish. Serac isn’t a typical marble as it errs on the grey side with minimal veining however, the distinct variation in its shading is was makes it beautiful.
Opting for a natural stone mosaic will bring pattern and texture into the room and allows you to introduce other materials in similar tones to finish the look. Like in our inspiration image, we love the contrasting greys, a slab of marble for the countertop and a concrete effect on the floor. Balance the look with a warm wood, walnut works well here, and gold fixtures to pop against the grey tones.
Pinterest Inspiration, Jasmine White & Monument Grey in Dulux Paint Mixing Easycare Kitchen+ Matt, Copper Pans, Serving Platter, Oak Dining Table
Recreate a cosy country cottage with a pebbled mosaic featured wall, bringing an interesting texture to a matt kitchen. To keep the look modern, we’ve used accents of deep grey and fresh whites alongside contemporary styled furniture in traditional oak.
Rustic touches will tie the look together, we love coloured ceramics, free form earthenware and traditional copper pans, the more antiqued the better.
Pinterest Inspiration, Split Face, Limewash Paint, Velvet Sofa, Coffee Table, Prossimo
Textured slate-like walls where popularised in the 1970s however, beige is out, and charcoal is in. This is a contemporary way to add a textured feature wall and we love it.
It’s important to add the textured split face near natural light, this way you can pick up the detail as the light changes through the day, a black framed bi-fold door being ideal. Complement the textured finish with a textured paint like limewash, extremely popular in neutral schemes to add interest.
Dress it up with touches of warm wood effect, the chevron of Prossimo is a great way to add a little pattern, and splashes of marble. To bring the look together choose a darker coloured sofa, the squishier the better and some greenery to add some life.
