Curate your bath and the surrounding area to create the most luxurious atmosphere for your favourite evening soak. Embody the luxury of your favourite hotel and escape the hustle and bustle for a relaxing treat. Together with some Pinterest inspiration, we show you some of our favourite tile options to help transform your bathroom into a bathing oasis.

Bathscaping Inspiration

Spa Retreat

Create a spa like atmosphere by using warm neutrals on your wall. White is closely linked to cleanliness but can often feel stark, opting for a warmer white, like Matrix’s Antique White will take the edge off and help blend with other tones in the room.

Add further warmth and texture by using a wood effect tile on the floor. Wood isn’t great in wet areas so an effect tile is an easier way to introduce the beauty of wood grain into the home without the associated maintenance of the real thing. Mora Oak is a beautiful blend of warm neutral tones that help enhance warm white shades and as an added bonus, it can be used in conjunction with underfloor heating for extra cosiness!

Complete the look with fluffy white towels, scented candles in clean, sleek packaging and minimalist style bathmats. For a true spa experience, mix some luxury bath oil into your water and spray a relaxing scent into the air as your bathwater’s running.

Date Night

Up the romance in your life by opting for an intricate floral pattern, a favourite interior style at a time when some of our literary greats were penning great romance novels and poetry. Being inspired by nature will bring a relaxing atmosphere to the space whilst the pattern will help you create the rest of the colour palette for your space.

We love Minton Hollins’ Seaweed range, the deep murky blues and vibrant greens bring this eclectic pattern to life. The darker colours help create a cosy and romantic atmosphere, finish the look with the darker tones of Prossimo on the floor. The herringbone style feels luxurious without making too much of a statement.

Light a heavily scented candle and scatter petals into the tub, you could even add a mini bar to your bath caddy and have a cooling cocktail whilst enjoying the steamy bathwater. The perfect date night, all to yourself!

Rustic Cottage

Channel your inner Cameron Diaz in The Holiday and tap into Cottage Core for the perfect city retreat. This look is all about texture and harmonising colours to create a rustic hideaway.

Zellica Antique White in a stepladder pattern on the walls will create height in a smaller space and help keep the look feeling modern. You can go for something darker but make sure it’s a contemporary feeling colour and surface finish to avoid it looking dated. The rustic glossy finish of Zellica contrasts nicely with the natural matt texture of stone, Amazone Grey’s mottled effect will help enhance the rustic vibe.

For a real country feel, opt for tongue and groove panelling on the bottom half of the wall and tile the top half. Make sure you paint the ceiling in the same tone as your wall tile to blend the room together, especially important when looking up from the tub!

Add a few rustic touches like a wooden stool with a few luxury products on top, a patterned bathmat and some cottage appropriate prints on the wall.

Modern Minimalist

Go for a seamless finish by using the same tile on the wall and floor. A clean concrete effect tile will feel modern yet minimalist and pairs perfectly with matt black accents. Alma Ivory has a light tone which works perfectly with a range of whites and its larger size will reduce the amount of grout lines which not only feels cleaner but helps a room to feel bigger.

Opt for a rounded tub with streamlined fixtures to help accentuate the crisp white sanitaryware. To avoid the room looking too clinical, add in a clear glass vase with structural foliage – eucalyptus is a great option for this. Reeded glass will add further texture and add an on-trend flair.

Keep your bath simple with a nicely scented oil, clean vanilla candles and plain black towels.
