Topps Tiles Celebrates Macmillan Partnership

In 2015, Topps Tiles colleagues collectively voted to support Macmillan Cancer Support as our charity partner for 5 years. To officially kick off the partnership, we got our tiling hats on and laid out over 1,000 tiles in the pattern of the Macmillan logo – a very fitting tribute!

Despite the wind and rain, our Head Office team came out to support the occasion, some even sporting green wigs and t-shirts!

Speaking as the last tile was laid, Matt Williams, our CEO said: “Following a company-wide consultation last year, Topps colleagues voted for Macmillan as the chosen partnership charity and I am looking forward to us all getting behind the excellent work Macmillan does in the next few years to help the lives of people affected by cancer”.

Julia Beales from Macmillan, said; “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Topps Tiles over the next five years. There are currently 2.5 million people living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis in the UK and this number is increasing. At Macmillan it's our ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone affected by cancer but we simply cannot do this alone. That's why the support of Topps Tiles and its employees is so valuable to us.”

Founded in 1911, the charity provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.

More than one in three of us will get cancer, and it is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. Macmillan provides people affected by cancer with specialist health care, information and financial support. Right from diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond they want to ensure no one has to face cancer alone.

This year will see us taking part in hundreds of fundraising activities from coffee mornings and bake off competitions to sponsored cycling and running events!
