Bathroom Floor Tiles

Our bathroom floor tiles come in lots of different looks, so you can keep things simple or make your bathroom floor a real feature. If you love a bit of pattern, our Florrial tiles are gorgeous, with terracotta, blue and charcoal designs that make the floor stand out, while Claverstone has a softer, more natural look, with the gently varied tones of real stone. Aries is a nice one for carrying the same tile up the wall behind the bath for a beautiful finish, and you can even bring the warmth of floorboards into the room with our wood effect tiles, without the worry of splashes.

Underfoot, it’s always worth looking at the slip rating, as you can’t tell how slip resistant a tile is from the finish alone. We test our tiles in-house using pendulum (PTV) testing, so you can compare them with confidence, and our high slip resistance tiles are a great place to start for the wetter spots. Most of our bathroom floor tiles are porcelain and work nicely with underfloor heating where the product details say so, which is lovely on a cold morning, and our bathroom LVT flooring is well worth a look too, with a softer, warmer feel underfoot.

Why Should I Choose Bathroom Floor Tiles? ▾
Bathroom floor tiles are a really practical choice for a room that sees lots of water, steam and everyday use. Our range includes various porcelain bathroom tiles, which have very low water absorption, so splashes sit on the surface and are easy to wipe away. With so many colours, patterns and finishes to choose from, it’s easy to find a bathroom floor tile that suits the look of your bathroom.
What Material Is The Best For Bathroom Floor Tiles? ▾
Porcelain is one of the most popular choices, as it’s dense, hard-wearing and copes really well with a busy bathroom, but it’s far from the only option. Some ceramic designs are rated for floors too, natural stone like marble, travertine and limestone gives a beautiful, one-of-a-kind look as long as it’s sealed, and quartz and resin tiles add a subtle sparkle underfoot. Whichever material you’re drawn to, the main thing is to choose bathroom floor tiles that are listed as suitable for floors, with a slip rating that suits how the room will be used.
Are Bathroom Floor Tiles Suitable For Underfloor Heating? ▾
Many are, and tiles are good at conducting heat, so they pair really nicely with underfloor heating. Compatibility does vary from tile to tile, though, so check the product details first, and make sure the floor is properly prepared with a suitable adhesive and grout so the heating and tiles work well together.
What Slip Rating Do I Need For A Bathroom Floor? ▾
As bathroom floors regularly get wet, it’s worth looking for a tile with a good slip rating, especially around the shower and bath. A PTV of 36 or above is rated as high slip resistance for both footwear and bare feet, which makes it suitable for all internal domestic areas, while tiles rated below 36 are best used in a bathroom alongside a bath mat. We test every tile in-house, and our slip resistance guide explains what each rating means. It’s also worth knowing that PTV and R ratings are different systems, so they can’t be compared like for like.
Can I Use Bathroom Wall Tiles As A Bathroom Floor Tile? ▾
Only if the tile is rated for floors as well. Lots of tiles work on both, but some, especially lighter ceramic designs, are made for walls only, so it’s always worth checking the product details before choosing your bathroom floor tiles.
