Next up in the Summer Edit, we’re stepping into a different kind of landscape. One shaped by wild coastlines, moorland views and countryside paths that wind through ancient stone walls and rolling green fields. Devon’s beauty is in its contrast. Rugged textures softened by warm light, and earthy tones paired with lush green and gentle neutrals.

This edit brings that feeling home. With a mix of stone-effect tiles, soft fluted detail, and gentle colour, it’s designed to echo Devon’s inherent beauty in a way that feels grounded, timeless and easy to live with.

Welcome To Devon

From the slate cliffs of the north to the thatched cottages of the south, Devon’s landscapes are rich with character. There’s something restorative about this part of the country, the way golden hour settles over dry stone walls, or how deep greens of the moors sit alongside pale sandy shores.

You’ll see the influence of the landscape everywhere. In country kitchens with flagstone floors, garden rooms framed in soft oak, and the natural ease of spaces that feel connected to the outdoors. This look captures that balance. Unfussy, practical and full of quiet detail.

Create The Devon Look

Staunton™ Multicolour - This is the tile that gives the scheme its anchor. With its slate-inspired pattern and blend of rust, charcoal and ochre tones, it mirrors the rugged colours found in Devon’s coastline and countryside rock. The textured porcelain finish works beautifully across indoor floors and outdoor patios, creating a sense of continuity that feels organic and grounded.

Essen™ Bone - This soft limestone-look tile brings balance and calm. Its gentle neutral tone helps to open up a space, while the delicate surface detail gives just enough texture to keep things interesting. Essen Bone is ideal for larger areas where you want a sense of warmth and flow, such as kitchens, utility rooms or relaxed open-plan spaces.

Flute™ Sage - With its soft reeded texture and earthy green tone, Flute Sage brings a more tactile layer to the edit. The tile’s structured surface catches the light gently, and its sage green colouring echoes the soft hues of Devon’s hills and hedgerows. Ideal behind basins or in shower alcoves, it adds depth without demanding attention.

BAL MM3 Eco Grout in Sage & Complements™ Brushed Gold Trim  - These two finishing elements complete the look. The sage-coloured grout blends gently with both stone and green tiles, softening transitions and enhancing the natural tones. Meanwhile, the brushed gold trim brings a refined edge to the scheme, adding a fine polished element that quietly lifts the space.

Styling The Look

Flute Sage and Atro White
Metro White in Kitchen

To layer the look further, bring in supporting tiles that echo the scheme’s earthy richness and gentle colour variation. Metro White and Metro Blush help introduce soft contrast in kitchens or bathrooms, their glossy finish adding a touch of brightness to tiled walls. In outdoor spaces, the texture of Everscape™ Enis Ivory brings the feel of natural slate into garden paths or patio areas. For shower rooms or en-suites, consider the Herringbone Sage and Cuneo Oak wall panels. With their etched patterns and waterproof finish, they offer the appearance of traditional tiling without the need for grout. The sage version brings in a calming botanical tone, while the oak slat effect adds warmth and texture, ideal for creating that spa-like, retreat feel.

This Devon-inspired look works best when styled with simplicity in mind. Layer in natural linens, soft green accents and mellow-toned woods. Avoid anything too polished or overly styled, as the beauty of this palette is in its quiet ease. It feels collected rather than curated.
