With its unique finishes, this Portuguese limestone is constructed of various sized pieces to form a random modular pattern. The acid etched surface creates a rustic, raw finish epitomising the current fascination with mixing materials and industrial style fixtures.
Each pack contains the following sizes 80x20, 55x20, 40x20 & 25x20.
PREPARE: Diluted First Wash 1:30 covers 50m2. Allow the solution to sit on the tile for 5 minutes and work residue off with a suitable pad or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. The preparation should be done before and after grouting.
PROTECT: Apply in total 3 coats of Unpolished Protector using a brush or a roller, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. A 1ltr bottle will cover approx. 10m2. The first coat should be applied after the inital cleaning but before grouting as a pre-seal, to help prevent absorption of grout into the tile. The second and third coats should be applied after the grouting and cleaning process.
CLEAN: To prevent the build up of deposits it is important that the correct cleaner is used, to maintain the tiles we suggest Tile & Stone Cleaner diluted at a ration od 1:200. Using the correct cleaning product ensures the life span of the protection.
ENHANCE: Unpolished Limestone can be enhanced using Colour Intensifier and in this case one coat of Unpolished Protector should be applied before grouting, and after cleaning apply 2 coats of Colour Intensifier once the limestone is dry.
PLEASE NOTE: Acidic or Alkaline cleaners are not recommended for use on limestone. Contrasting grouts can cause staining, so it is advised to test the grout on a small area before grouting commences.
