Turkish in orign, this beautiful tile is a warm red travertine tumbled to create an antiqued rustic blend perfect for creating a radiant feel to your home. Please note this tile requires sealing.
Please note this product is a natural stone and therefore you will find colour and pattern variations in the tiles due to the way the product is made. We recommend laying out your tiles before fixing to ensure you get a good mix of shades across the area. For very large areas please ask our experts in store for further advice.
Travertine and Marble are very soft stones and should be maintained using PH neutral products as acid and alkaline will damage the stone and reduce the effectiveness of any sealers that have been used on the stone.
PREPARE: Diluted First Wash 1:30 covers 50m2. Allow the solution to sit on the tile for 5 minutes and work residue off with a suitable pad or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Sometimes after using a First Wash, residues may be left behind, this may be due to the polymer within the grout. In these instances use Tile and Stone Stain Remover diluted 1:5 in the same way as the First Wash.
PROTECT: If using Polished Protector, for polished travertine, apply 1 coat using a brush or a roller. A 1ltr bottle will cover approx. 30m2. If using Unpolished Protector, for unpolished travertine, apply 2 coats using a brush or a roller. Apply the second coat within 4 hours of the first coat. A 1ltr bottle will cover approx 30m2.
CLEAN: To prevent the build up of deposits it is important that the correct cleaner is used, to maintain the tiles we suggest Tile & Stone Cleaner diluted 1:200. Using the correct cleaning product ensures the life span of the protection
ENHANCE: Unpolished travertine can be enhanced using Colour Intensifier. After using First Wash and when the travertine is dry, apply 2 coats of Colour Intensifier.
PLEASE NOTE: Acidic or Alkaline cleaners are not recommended for use on travertine. Travertine does not require pre-sealing. Contrasting grouts can cause staining, so it is advised to test the grout on a small area before grouting commences.
