If only I had known... These tiles are beautiful if you can get them to a diamond shine. Our builder who has worked with every type of tile applied.
Our builder who has worked with every type of tile and applied the primer. Prior to doing so he sought advice from the showroom..he was astonished as was I when the response was I wish you luck getting them on the wall. They are on the wall evenly I add despite some tiles being 1mm out in size from the others. They are incredibly difficult to clean. Thus far we have spent 4 days trying to clean them. The trick appears to be a fibreglass pen, followed by a copper brush and then a dry cloth, about an hour per tile. . Is it any wonder these are discontinued...we wanted the shine finish, we are now beginning to see some glistening from the tiles, however if there had been more honesty we would have selected a different tile. We were there to buy not on a speculative visit.
The tiles are no we discontinued, I would suggest a word of caution from the staff before customers buy.

Beautiful tile that has added that extra sparkle to my new bathroom!
I went into Topps Tiles to choose some tiles for my bathroom renovation. I noticed the Jewel Diamond tile but wondered if it would be too overwhelming everywhere so spent hours trying to see if I could match it to some other tiles. I opted for the Tekno grey and Tekno taupe and ordered the three sets of tiles. I spent quite some time designing the layout and with the help of the bathroom installer we worked out a really nice plan for the layout of the tiles. Initially I was concerned about the Jewel tile because some reviews had said it was hard to clean, I spoke to the bathroom installer regarding this and he said as long as we followed the correct procedure all would be fine. I am so glad we worked so hard to plan the tile design as it has turned out to be perfect. I highly recommend this tile, especially as one to be combined with another tile as it becomes a really nice feature tile rather than the main tile.
I would also like to point out that Topps Tiles (Cheetham Hill - Manchester) were very helpful through the whole process, they even created an online image for me with a variation of tiles which they then emailed to me so I could visualise what they would look like. Perfect!
