Named after the Egyptian goddess, Hathor Cream limestone is a beautiful, naturally warm stone with slightly tumbled, rustic edges.
The subtle fossil details add character to this attractive cream limestone. A variety of sizes are available in the Hathor range, making it suitable for both walls and floors.
Please note this product is a natural stone and therefore you will find colour and pattern variations in the tiles due to the way the product is made. We recommend laying out your tiles before fixing to ensure you get a good mix of shades across the area. For very large areas please ask our experts in store for further advice.
PREPARE: Diluted First Wash 1:30 covers 50m2. Allow the solution to sit on the tile for 5 minutes and work residue off with a suitable pad or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. The preparation should be done before and after grouting.
PROTECT: Apply in total 3 coats of Unpolished Protector using a brush or a roller, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. A 1ltr bottle will cover approx. 10m2. The first coat should be applied after the inital cleaning but before grouting as a pre-seal, to help prevent absorption of grout into the tile. The second and third coats should be applied after the grouting and cleaning process.
CLEAN: To prevent the build up of deposits it is important that the correct cleaner is used, to maintain the tiles we suggest Tile & Stone Cleaner diluted at a ration od 1:200. Using the correct cleaning product ensures the life span of the protection.
ENHANCE: Unpolished Limestone can be enhanced using Colour Intensifier and in this case one coat of Unpolished Protector should be applied before grouting, and after cleaning apply 2 coats of Colour Intensifier once the limestone is dry.
PLEASE NOTE: Acidic or Alkaline cleaners are not recommended for use on limestone. Contrasting grouts can cause staining, so it is advised to test the grout on a small area before grouting commences.
