Appalling customer service
My family and I have used Topps Tiles several times over the past few years and, until today we have always found the staff very helpful and have been very pleased with the products we bought. Today however has been a very different story. Owing to miscommunication between and within the Newhaven and Lewes stores, I have spent a searing hot day driving between the two stores with a four year old in tow and being met with extreme rudeness and refusal to help me at both ends. At its worst, I was accused of lying on three separate occasions by two members of staff. After three hours of this, I was finally offered an apology by Newhaven and a partial apology from Lewes - although they were still extremely abrupt and maintained that other staff were responsible for the errors. I also received the refund that I had originally requested at the start of the saga. I was so upset, shocked and frustrated by their treatment of me that I actually cried when I got home. Whilst I am pleased with the product, I will not be using Topps again for the remaining work on my house. I learnt today that commission is a million times more important to this company than customer care and from now on, I will use a smaller, local firm who I hope will value my custom and treat me with dignity and respect. For what it’s worth, I have never left a bad review about a company before.

Super help from Janine today.We have made a number of visits to understand and choose the Tiles for both kitchen&batthroom,using your Sample Service to help.
Today we had decided and selected Tiles/Grouting/Trim for the project and Janine's help and advice was first-class.
Janine asked her colleagues to 'pick' the 10 boxes for her whilst she completed the paperwork.This afternoon it was my duty to take these up to our first-floor flat from the street.
I was concerned the the batch-code for the Metro Tiles were different- a phone-call confirmed this is wrong and I now have to return all these and collect replacements which have to be ordered in for Thursday.
This spoils an otherwise excellent experience and I guess would not have happened had Janine's Colleagues bothered to check the Batch Codes,
