Global colour authority Pantone have announced their Colour of the Year 2014, and it's the occasionally subtle but always beautiful Radiant Orchid.
The colour blends well with neutrals and pastels, adding an almost decadent touch to proceedings, along with adding to existing bold colours - Radiant Orchid really does have the capacity to mould into any environment, with most existing colour schemes too.
It is because of this that Radiant Orchid is already loved by interior designers and stylists alike. As described by Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, "Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm."
Perhaps it is because of these attributes then, that many home-wares and art pieces are picking out tones of the brilliant Radiant Orchid already, ready for us to don our homes with in 2014. As well as with accessories, you can also incorporate Radiant Orchid into your home by redecorating - but that doesn't mean a complete restyle is in order.
Whilst it would make a gorgeous colour for a painted feature wall in your lounge area, you can also find innovative Wall Art tiles
that use some Radiant Orchid tones. These also bring forward some pastel variations on the new Pantone Color of the Year, creating a really rich, all-encompassing orchid feel that Pantone would be proud of.
It couldn't be easier to bring Radiant Orchid into your home for 2014 - and its tones are so easy to play with.
