Ideal for natural slate tiles
I have written a review, as I note other people have tried this product and have had varying results. I originally felt anxious at purchasing this product, as the reviews were mixed, so hope my review does offer some balance overall. We have natural slate tiles, which are in copper, gold, slate grey, charcoal and cream. The stone varies from tile to tile and was the main reason we purchased them 15 years ago. However, having had some building work done, and the length of time they had been laid, they were looking tired. This product was absolutely brilliant! I think the key to applying this product is firstly, clean, clean and clean again, so that the floor itself has not one speck of dust, dirt or building residue left remaining. We spent hours cleaning!!! but, once you have put in that work, the actual task of applying the colour intensifier is really easy. We used a small roller and tray, one similar to a radiator roller, and it took about an hour to cover about 37 square metres. We found it useful to apply it quite late in the day to allow the bulk of the drying to take place over night and applied the second coat the following evening. The results have been amazing. Our floor has a nice finish, and sheen, but not a high gloss and the colours have truly popped, making the floor look brand new again. Thanks Jack at the Windsor store, as when I called I had my reservations following he reviews I had seen , and he advised me on patch testing and even gave me a small amount of product to take me with my purchased cans just to be sure and to avoid wasting money. Excellent service, and great product.

This was recommended to me in store by a member of staff at point of sale as a sealer/protector of the tiles and as it states a colour enhancer. Great I thought! What a wonderful idea! So wrong...Whilst it may well protect the tiles (yet to be tested) the beautiful colour we had of the Jade Terre Offset Brick which was a gorgeous shimmery silvery/grey with glittery specks has been ruined. It has changed it to a really, really dark grey and the tiles have lost all of their beautiful shimmer and shine, we're so disappointed as the tiles were not cheap and we chose them specifically because of their finish which is now no-more. It was meant to enhance them and instead for us it has ruined them. There was no way of seeing before hand what it would do to these otherwise gorgeous tiles and had I have wanted ugly dark grey tiles I'd have bought ugly dark grey tiles.
