I was happy with the sample so proceeded to order these tiles.
HOWEVER the bulk order did not have sufficient white glaze on the tile so the brown underneath showed through on the curve of the tile front.
Understand that there are batch differences for COLOUR but I would expect the tile to be sufficiently glazed regardless of batch.
Returned the tiles to store but I was refunded minus a 20% charge as these aren't a stock item. Fully understand the purpose of this charge but as the return was due to a quality issue rather than a change of heart, I thought this was most unfair.
To top it off, 2 of the tiles were actually broken when I received the delivery (so I would have had to return them anyway despite the glaze issue) but they would not take this into consideration either when insisting on the 20% charge. Only 2 tiles but as a high % of the order and at ¬£1.79 each...!
I would not recommend these tiles and the after service from Topps Tiles Chingford has really put me off taking a risk and ordering anything else.
