Preparation for uneven floors
Achieving the flatness and regularity of the new stone floor is largely dependent upon the surface to which the stone is being fixed.
Any dimensional deviance in the sub-floor ideally needs to be corrected before fixing commences, otherwise irregularities within the surface will transfer through to the tiling itself and cause lipping of tile edges.
