How to Fix Homelux Ultra Seal
on baths & showers

Why do I need an Ultra Seal?

Most bathroom seals do not have sufficient flexibility in them to allow for the weight of a bath full of water or a person in a shower tray. This is a particular problem in properties with timber floors or where fixtures have been incorrectly fitted. Ultra Seal expands by up to 15mm to allow for any movement, which prevents the seal from being broken at the most important time.

How does it compare to silicone?

Most of us have experienced silicone, which has gone mouldy, discoloured or peeled away at the edges, often as a result of the way in which it has been applied or through lack of cleaning. Removing and replacing it neatly can be a messy and time-consuming process, even for experienced DIY¥ers. Ultra Seal can be fitted over the top of old silicone, as long as the surface on which it is going to be stuck is free of silicone smears and is completely clean and dry.

If Ultra Seal is so flexible, is it difficult to fit?

The simple answer is no. The high tack adhesive strips mean that Ultra Seal has an easy 4 step fit process.

Step 1 of 4 next step

Clean
Wipe area clean with a wet cloth. Ensure area is completely dry.
