School’s in for Mega Mosaic makers
Following a hugely successful debut last year, Britain’s first mosaic competition for primary schools nationwide will once again be sponsored by Topps Tiles in 2009/10.
Mega Mosaic Makers is a competition to showcase the exciting mosaic work happening in our primary schools and features projects run by teachers, parent helpers and professional artists. Organiser Anne Cardwell, who runs the competition on behalf of Topps Tiles and the British Association for Modern Mosaic, confirmed: “we are delighted that Topps will be continuing its sponsorship of the event. Last year, the standard was very high and we know that all the mosaics entered into the competition will be a source of pride for many years to come. Last year’s winning project called ‘The Weir Link’ was designed and produced by pupils from St. Bernadette’s School in London and schools are already vying to better this in the new competition”.
