Heroic Achievement

Youngsters from Calthwaite Junior Football Club in Penrith have raised a magnificent £220 to help wounded servicemen and women. The money was presented to team sponsor John Williams from Topps Tiles, Ullswater Road and will go to support the work of Topps’ adopted charity, Help for Heroes.

“We want to do something practical to help and Calthwaite JFC should be proud of their fundraising achievement” John said. “It’s not about war; it’s about the brave men and women who are wounded in the service of our country. The money will help fund specialist care and rehabilitation and it’s our way of doing our bit for those heroes who have given so much.
