Help for Heroes
Heroes Get the Thumbs Up from Topps
Topps Tiles is launching its biggest ever fundraising drive to support the work of the charity Help for Heroes.
Founded in 2007 by Bryn and Emma Parry to fund specialist care and rehabilitation for members the armed forces wounded in the service of our country, the charity was launched so that ordinary people could do their bit to help.
Topps chief executive, Matthew Williams, said: “we can’t stop our men and women being killed and wounded in war, but, by joining forces with Help for Heroes, we can do something practical for those injured heroes who have given so much. Our own local heroes will be part of this devastating toll and we will be working with the charity to help fund some of the specialist rehabilitation needs of servicemen and women from those local communities served by our stores.
“We are asking Topps Tiles stores nationwide to set up their own “Heroes Day” to raise money from sponsored exploits by homegrown ‘heroes’ on each store team. Please give generously if you are visiting one of our stores in the run-up to their “Heroes Day”.
Bryn Parry confirmed: “every penny raised goes to the cause rather than overheads. A very small team runs the charity and we have remarkably low costs. Yet, with the help of Royalty, celebrities; the media and thousands of decent, ordinary people we have already raised millions. There is a great deal more to be done and we are indebted to Topps Tiles for its decision to support our work”.
