Jim Tuvey, manager at Topps Tiles Beckton, is used to giving tiling advice to customers but being asked to show a group of kiddies how to make mosaics was another matter!
But clever Jim got stuck in and turned the project into a painting competition to design a school mosaic, which is now being converted into the 'real thing' by children from Lambourne Primary School and their teacher, Mr. Kelly. "My talk at assembly went well" Jim confirmed. "Since then there have been some great entries and I will be visiting the school over the next few months to see the project through".
