Church mosaic

This lovely nativity scene was produced by children from primary schools in Saffron Walden for the town's United Reformed Church. Drawn by youngster Emile Cooke (pictured), the mosaic was the work of around local 30 children.
Using tiles supplied by Topps Tile Cambridge, children created their beautiful picture at a Saturday Club workshop held in December 2007 by local artist Anne Cardwell.
Public reaction to the mosaic has been tremendous, and, in March, the Saturday Club are planning a second panel for the church with a Palm Sunday theme.
