The Autumn/Winter Trends

Our new autumn/winter brochure is out now so we're exploring the four key trends to update your home with this season.

We've been in love with the Scandi aesthetic for a few years now, particularly with the introduction of comforting Hygge but over the last year this has evolved into something new. Still focusing on the calm and tranquillity of neutral colour palettes, raw materials and simplistic design, this trend now incorporates a more Eastern influence, particularly from Japan.

This concept of Zen talks of peace of mind and in interiors the clean, minimal lines and simple tactile surfaces have a sense of beauty and timeless elegance. The look focuses around distressed or charred wood, solid materials like cast iron and natural materials like hemp and mother of pearl. Pared back details help bring harmony and coherence in your home.

Dartrey

This wood-effect tile has a blackened wood look with distressed edging and a worn grain. Available in a small thin plank or a geometric rhombus shape, this tile is very versatile and looks perfect paired with old leather, clean metals and a neutral off-white backdrop.

Albus

A marble-effect tile is a great way to add a sense of cleanliness to a room. Albus has a rectified edge which allows for minimal grout lines and a seamless look, letting the subtle grey veining do the talking. Mix this tile with a charred wood-effect, cast iron and structural foliage for a gentle nod to calming nature.

Sharme

Modernise mother or pearl with this shimmering herringbone mosaic, the individual strips feature heavy variation creating an eclectic look. Perfect for a small splashback this decorative mosaic adds warmth to a neutral space whilst still being harmonious with its browns, greys and black accents.

Pattern can take various different forms but an ever popular design is those of a geometric nature. Sometimes seen as a bold choice, these striking patterns can add instant personality to any room. Focus the pattern into a theme like Art Deco, incorporating pastel tones with hints of gold.

Optiks

Create a statement kitchen with clashing blues and greens. The bold diamond pattern will break up the colour. Keep the look contemporary with streamlined fixtures and earthy cement and wood accessories.

Geomento

Exuding the idea of fading glamour, this worn looking ceramic tile pulls together various tones of blue that look stunning when paired with dark wood and glass accessories.

This trend embodies the traditional vibes of the beloved industrial aesthetic but with a touch of elegance. Clean lines, muted tones and luxurious materials like marble and brass bring the look to life. Great for both kitchens and bathrooms experiment with layering textures and tones together for an earthy, warmer look than classic industrial spaces. Contrast simple looking tiles like Metro White with a contrasting dark great, this will add definition and structure to your space.

Tekno

Combine a concrete-effect tile with real marble and a metal like copper for a touch of luxury. Chunky looking wood with a dark and characteristic grain will deepen the look lending a more earthy and liveable interior.

Touchline

Choose a muted colour palette with structured minimal lines for a nod to those distressed, abandoned factories of yesteryear. Create a contrast by using various different metals in a small space, for example in your kitchen having some burnished copper pans with an antique gold tap and a brushed silver light fitting; find a common tone between the metals and they will create a harmonious blend.

There's nothing like a classic marble tile, harking back to times gone with classic Italian sculpture, architecture and overall opulence; this stone has so many variants it's versatile enough for any look. Whether you're looking for a sleek contemporary finish or a classic Italian reverie these natural stones will brighten up any room.

Carrara

Providing a natural aesthetic, classic Carrara is probably the most luxurious of marbles with its subtle grey veining and cool white base this marble works for both contemporary and traditional interiors.

Arabescato

Heavily veined marble takes centre stage, found in your more traditional settings this bold marble exudes opulence and luxury and is perfect for creating a feature wall.

Serac

With a honed finish, the Serac range offers a contemporary marble with minimal veining and a greyer base tone. Pair with pastel pinks and gold accessories for a feminine but elegant touch.
